Sigrún Eva Ármannsdóttir Crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2011/Miss Iceland 2011

Sigrún Eva Ármannsdóttir (18, 1.80 m, from Akranes) was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2011 (Miss Iceland 2011) at the Broadway Club in Reykjavik. She will represent Iceland in Miss World 2011 in London, England, on November 8.


Guðlaug Dagmar Jónsdóttir was the first runner-up, and Sigríður Dagbjört Ásgeirsdóttir was the second runner-up. Gurrí Jónsdóttir and Hjördís Hjörleifsdóttir completed the Top 5.  One of them is expected to represent Iceland at the Miss Supranational 2011 pageant in Poland.

Iceland will try to conquer its 4th Miss World title.

Riza Santos, 23, a Calgary beauty queen of Filipino, Spanish, and Chinese ancestry, was crowned Miss World Canada 2011 at the River Rock Show Theater in Richmond.
Riza competed in Miss Earth 2006, but did not place among the semi-finalists. She placed 2nd in the Philippines Big Brother – Celebrity Edition 2. Inspired by her grandparents, the new Miss World Canada has completed training courses with the Canadian Forces.
She will represent Canada in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 8.

Road To Miss World 2011

Pushpika Sandamali De Silva, 21, was crowned as the new Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2011at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo. She will represent Sri Lanka in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 8. Shimalka Bodaragama and Chamupa Godage were the runner-ups.
The winner is an actress and model from Colombo.

Road To Miss World 2011

Miss Italia nel Mondo 2011 to be held at the Lungomare Falcomata, Reggio di Calabria, June 25

 

 The 20th anniversary edition of the Miss Italia nel Mondo beauty pageant will be held Saturday, June 25, at the Lungomare Falcomata, a popular beachfront, located in the Calabria region in Southern Italy.

40 beauties of italian ancestry from all over the world will compete in the annual event, created by Enzo Mirigliani in 1991.
Authorities at Reggio Calabria are excited about this year’s event, which will be telecast worldwide through RAI Italia.  This exposure will be of outstanding promotion for the region.
Mirigliani is also the organizer of the official “Miss Italia” pageant, which used to send the winners to the Miss Universe competition until 1999.
The reigning Miss Italia nel Mondo is Kimberly Castillo Mota, from the Dominican Republic.

Miss World Santa Catarina 2011 Crowned

Mariana Bathke was crowned Miss Mundo Santa Catarina 2011 during a cocktail held at the Majestic Hotel.  Mister Brazil 2011 Lucas Malvacini was in attendance.
Mariana will represent Santa Catarina at the finals of Miss World Brazil 2011 to be held in Angra dos Reis, RJ on August 13th.  The winner will represent the country in the Miss World 2011 finals in London.
